X-Ray Spectra of Bright Bl-Lacertae Objects Observed with ROSAT
Abstract
The soft X-ray data of 10 bright BL Lacertae objects observed during the Rosat All Sky Survey (RASS) were analyzed in order to compare their spectral characteristics. The spectra are well described by simple power law models. No indications for intrinsic absorption were found. The steep spectral indices of all spectra are very similar. In the spectra of three BL Lacertae absorption features below 1 keV, although statistically insignificant, cannot be excluded.
